A stunning morning in Glencoe, as the first light of day kissed the slopes of Buachaille Etive Mòr. The moment was fleeting; just a few minutes, but the rare combination of moody clouds and soft, golden sunrise light made it absolutely unforgettable. A scene of pure Highland magic.
This fine art mountain print of Stob Dearg captures a timeless Glencoe sunrise. An ideally piece of Scottish landscape wall art for those who feel a connection to the wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
Each photography print is crafted on archival fine art paper, utilizing the highest quality UV-resistant pigment inks, ensuring a lifespan of over 85 years. All A4, A3 & A2 prints are produced in-house on Fotospeed Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315 fine art paper, while all panoramic prints larger than 594mm are outsourced to a professional print lab and produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308; both papers are acid-free, 100% cotton paper and certified by the Fine Art Trade Guild.
I always advise using rubber gloves when handling the paper to prevent any oils from your fingers marking the artwork. However, each print comes with a white border, allowing you to handle it without touching the printed image.
For framing, it’s best to provide the framer with the printed area dimensions in millimeters along with your preferred mount border width; which should be larger than the border on the paper. Quality framers typically reduce the aperture of the mount by 6mm, creating a subtle overlay that conceals the unprinted edges. If you are fitting the print into an existing frame and require a custom mount, take the print area and subtract 6mm from the width and height; see table below for examples for this aspect ratio.
| Size | Paper | Exact Size | Print Area | Suitable Mount Aperature |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A4 | Fotospeed Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315 | 297 x 178mm | 271 x 152mm | 265 x 146mm |
| A3 | Fotospeed Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315 | 420 x 253mm | 381 x 214mm | 375 x 208mm |
| A2 | Fotospeed Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315 | 594 x 360mm | 533 x 300mm | 527 x 294mm |
